Young Women in Harmony We are a group of women who get together to sing 4 part barbershop style a cappella harmony. We sing the songs we know and want to sing (which have been arranged in the barbershop style). We are from all over the New England area. We offer multiple opportunities for young women ages 16 – 25 to join in the song.
We are supported by Sweet Adelines International and North Atlantic Region 1 of Sweet Adelines however there is no requirement to be a member of either organization. The Young Women in Harmony program, sponsored by Sweet Adelines International, reaches out to young women through the American musical art form of barbershop harmony. Our goal is to provide educational and performance opportunities through music festivals, contests, and events sponsored locally, regionally, and internationally. Additionally, the program offers to music educators a means of including the study and performance of barbershop harmony in school music programs. Click here to find out more.
