Founded in 1945, Sweet Adelines International is the world's largest non-profit musical education association for women.
Its 30,000 members sing four-part a cappella harmony in the barbershop style in over 600 choruses throughout the United States
and in 12 other countries.
Barbershop-style harmony is a type of a cappella (unaccompanied) singing with three voices -- tenor, baritone, and bass
-- harmonizing to the melody, usually sung by the lead.
